Manual Liquid Limit Device (Manual Casagrande)
The S4250/A, S4250/B and S4250/N model manual liquid limit devices (Manual Casagrande) are used to determine the moisture content at which clay soils pass from plastic to liquid state.
The Devices consist of an adjustable crank and cam mechanism, a blow counter and a removable brass cup fitted on the mechanism. Different models with the same shape but with different base and cup weights are available according to the required specifications.
S4250/A model are supplied with a ASTM type plastic grooving tool.
S4250/B model is supplied with a BS type plastic grooving tool.
S4250/N model is supplied with a NF type brass grooving tool.
Other types of grooving tools should be ordered separately.
Manual model liquidity limit device (Manual Casagrande) suplied with:
• Brass cup in chrome-plated,
• Crank drive system with cam,
• A Blow Counter,
• Base,
• Grooving tools according to the standard of the ordered model.
Ball Recoil Test Apparatus; It is designed to control the maximum and minimum bounce height of the steel ball on the base. It is supplied with a ruler placed in a transparent tube made of acrylic material, 1 Steel Ball and a Magnet. It is optional and must be ordered separately.
